New CO2 injection system

The new Solvo­carb ven­turi injec­tion sys­tem expands Linde’s port­fo­lio of gas sup­ply con­cepts and high-per­for­mance appli­ca­tion tech­nolo­gies ded­i­cat­ed to the effi­cient addi­tion of car­bon diox­ide (CO₂) to drink­ing water, process water and indus­tri­al waste­water. The prop­er­ties of CO₂ make it an ide­al choice for water treat­ment with high­lights includ­ing advanced safe­ty and ease of han­dling. In fact, CO₂ is an effec­tive and envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly alter­na­tive to high­ly cor­ro­sive min­er­al acids.
With its low pres­sure drop, the Solvo­carb ven­turi injec­tor can be inte­grat­ed into pipelines and guar­an­tees high mass trans­fer rates along with excep­tion­al dis­so­lu­tion effi­cien­cy. It is ide­al for a wide vari­ety of appli­ca­tions in small to medi­um-sized treat­ment plants requir­ing accu­rate pH con­trol of fresh water or water with a high lev­el of total dis­solved solids (TDS).
The chem­i­cal­ly inert ther­mo­plas­tic com­po­si­tion of the sys­tem makes it high­ly resis­tant to sol­vents, alka­li solu­tions and desali­nat­ed water. It comes in a range of sizes and is suit­able for most types of plas­tic and steel pipes. As such, it can eas­i­ly be retro­fit­ted to exist­ing plants. The system’s patent­ed design com­bines low ener­gy con­sump­tion with ease of main­te­nance, and has already been suc­cess­ful­ly deployed in sev­er­al real-world appli­ca­tions around the world.
