Inverse and modular cable entry

With the new inverse and mod­u­lar cable entry sys­tem KDSI-SR, Con­ta-Clip offers max­i­mum flex­i­bil­i­ty and time sav­ings in terms of cable man­age­ment for con­trol cab­i­nets, enclo­sures and machines, as well as secure seal­ing of cables with and with­out con­nec­tors. The one-piece screw frames enable fast and com­plete assem­bly from the out­side to the inside. The design and the proven sim­ple assem­bly prin­ci­ple of the KDS range remain vir­tu­al­ly unchanged.

The inverse ver­sions fea­ture a mir­rored geom­e­try of the frame open­ing tapers and an addi­tion­al two-part cov­er with TPE seals in three planes. This ensures an absolute tight fit of the tapered seal­ing ele­ments and thus IP66 pro­tec­tion as well as reli­able sta­t­ic strain relief in accor­dance with DIN EN 62444. With this sys­tem, too, indi­vid­ual feed-through open­ings and seals can be recon­fig­ured at any time with­out effort using the famil­iar mod­u­lar click and plug principle.

Both the sin­gle, dou­ble or quadru­ple seal­ing ele­ments and the blank­ing plugs allow vari­able con­fig­u­ra­tion with high pack­ing den­si­ty. The intel­li­gent pitch of the seal­ing ele­ments with the char­ac­ter­is­tic ser­rat­ed edge guar­an­tees sim­ple, pre­ci­sion-fit instal­la­tion — since there is no need to dis­man­tle and recon­nect assem­bled cables dur­ing retro­fitting or ser­vice work, the man­u­fac­tur­er’s war­ran­ty is retained.

The halo­gen- and sil­i­cone-free KDSI-SR is suit­able for a wide range of require­ments and for use in a tem­per­a­ture range from ‑40 °C to +120 °C. The 10-frames are avail­able imme­di­ate­ly, the 8‑frames from August, 6‑frames and 4‑frames will fol­low and com­plete the pro­gram until the end of 2021.
