Innovations in hygienic filling and sealing

Bosch Pack­ag­ing Tech­nol­o­gy offers insights into the lat­est devel­op­ments in hygien­ic cup fill­ing and seal­ing at Anu­ga FoodTec 2018. Vis­i­tors can explore the ben­e­fits and require­ments of hygien­ic fill­ing tech­nol­o­gy – from clean, and ultra-clean up to asep­tic, includ­ing height­ened prod­uct safe­ty and an extend­ed shelf life out­side of the cool­ing chain of up to 12 months. Dur­ing the show, food pro­duc­ers can learn about the most recent FCL fill­ing and seal­ing machine for dairy prod­ucts, baby food, clin­i­cal nutri­tion and café lat­te drinks using pre-made cups.
“Grow­ing mar­ket demands and strin­gent hygiene reg­u­la­tions put high pres­sure on dairy and food pro­duc­ers,” explains Markus Schlum­berg­er, man­ag­ing direc­tor of sales at Ampack GmbH, Bosch Pack­ag­ing Tech­nol­o­gy. “Bosch has been work­ing on hygien­ic fill­ing tech­nol­o­gy for half a cen­tu­ry, so we under­stand the chal­lenges and oppor­tu­ni­ties. Our new Ampack FCL inline cup fill­ing machine pays tes­ta­ment to this exper­tise. Our objec­tive for Anu­ga FoodTec 2018 is to share our expe­ri­ence with the indus­try as we work togeth­er to ensure that the food reach­es the end con­sumers safely.”

Safe, fast and flexible – the perfect combination

The FCL cup fill­ing and seal­ing machine’s unique fea­tures were first unveiled dur­ing inter­pack 2017. Designed for dairy and food prod­ucts, it com­bines three key ben­e­fits: oper­a­tor and prod­uct safe­ty; enhanced effi­cien­cy; and for­mat and appli­ca­tion flex­i­bil­i­ty. Con­se­quent­ly, it gives food pro­duc­ers a com­pet­i­tive edge to help sat­is­fy mar­ket demands. The first orders for ultra-clean and asep­tic exe­cu­tions of the FCL machines were placed short­ly after the launch.
More­over, the machine was award­ed the 3‑A SSI cer­tifi­cate, ensur­ing com­pli­ance with the most strin­gent hygiene stan­dards and address­ing the increas­ing needs for sim­pli­fied clean­ing and main­te­nance, min­i­mized risk for food con­t­a­m­i­na­tion and less prod­uct waste. The FCL fill­ing and seal­ing machine is avail­able as a sin­gle index, dou­ble-index or for­mat flex­i­ble ver­sion, with speeds of up to 20,000 cups per hour.

Hygienic filling solutions for dairy and food

In addi­tion, Bosch pro­vides wide expe­ri­ence in pro­cess­ing of cups with high out­put form­ing, fill­ing and seal­ing machines. Vis­i­tors at Anu­ga FoodTec 2018 can meet spe­cial­ists for asep­tic ther­mo­form­ing, applic­a­ble for a broad range of dairy and food prod­ucts, like cof­fee cream­ers and desserts. More­over, Bosch offers fill­ing and seal­ing of pre-made con­tain­ers in both clean and ultra-clean exe­cu­tions. For exam­ple, the new Osgood RFS-Series rotary machine offers abun­dant fea­tures while keep­ing its foot­print to a min­i­mum. With fea­tures that pri­or­i­tize prod­uct safe­ty, ease of use and increased uptime, the rotary machine fills, seals and caps pre-made cups for a range of dairy and food products.
