Acquisition of the OEM business at Ishida

At Ishi­da GmbH, the com­pre­hen­sive reor­ga­ni­za­tion of its sales struc­ture is being dri­ven for­ward. With Nico Behrens, a per­son respon­si­ble for the direct sup­port of Orig­i­nal Equip­ment Man­u­fac­tur­ers (OEM) in Ger­many, Aus­tria and the Benelux coun­tries has now been appoint­ed for the first time.

Nico Behrens (29) is a mechan­i­cal engi­neer spe­cial­iz­ing in ener­gy and plant sys­tems and already has exten­sive sales expe­ri­ence. Before join­ing Ishi­da, he was employed by a well-known plant man­u­fac­tur­er in the food indus­try as an area sales man­ag­er with inter­na­tion­al operations.

“Togeth­er with the OEMs, we want to strength­en process under­stand­ing,” says Nico Behrens, who is famil­iar with think­ing in sys­tems and com­plete plant lines. The new Indi­rect Sales Man­ag­er has his eye on the entire Ishi­da port­fo­lio, from mul­ti­head weighers to pack­ag­ing machines and qual­i­ty con­trol systems.

The com­pa­ny has been build­ing a new sales and ser­vice struc­ture in Ger­many and Aus­tria since the begin­ning of 2020. Both areas are cur­rent­ly being staffed up as part of a recruit­ment dri­ve for opti­mum area cov­er­age and faster response times.

The GmbH with loca­tions in Schwäbisch Hall and Ham­burg is the sub­sidiary of Ishi­da Europe (Birm­ing­ham, Eng­land) respon­si­ble for Ger­many and Aus­tria. The com­pa­ny designs, man­u­fac­tures and installs inno­v­a­tive weigh­ing and pack­ag­ing tech­nolo­gies for the food and non-food sec­tors. Effi­cient machines for weigh­ing, fill­ing and pack­ag­ing as well as qual­i­ty con­trol are offered. Cus­tomers also receive com­plete line solu­tions and ser­vice from a sin­gle source.
