Excellent innovation work

The com­pa­ny comem­so elec­tron­ics from Ost­fildern has con­vinced in the 29th round of the TOP 100 com­pe­ti­tion as an inno­v­a­tive com­pa­ny. It has been award­ed the TOP 100 2022 seal for this achieve­ment. On June 24, the com­pa­ny will addi­tion­al­ly be per­son­al­ly hon­ored for these achieve­ments by the com­pe­ti­tion’s men­tor, sci­ence jour­nal­ist Ran­ga Yogeshwar.

At the heart of the inno­va­tion com­pe­ti­tion is a sci­en­tif­ic selec­tion process that par­tic­i­pants must under­go. On behalf of com­pa­me­dia, the orga­niz­er of the com­par­i­son, inno­va­tion researcher Prof. Dr. Niko­laus Franke and his team exam­ined the Group on the basis of more than 100 inno­va­tion indi­ca­tors from five cat­e­gories: Top Man­age­ment Pro­mot­ing Inno­va­tion, Inno­va­tion Cli­mate, Inno­v­a­tive Process­es and Orga­ni­za­tion, Exter­nal Orientation/Open Inno­va­tion and Inno­va­tion Suc­cess. In prin­ci­ple, the analy­sis focus­es on the ques­tion of whether a com­pa­ny’s inno­va­tions are mere­ly a prod­uct of chance or are sys­tem­at­i­cal­ly planned and thus repeat­able in the future. Spe­cial weight­ing is giv­en to the ques­tion of whether and how inno­va­tions and prod­uct improve­ments suc­ceed on the market.

“comem­so is an inno­v­a­tive com­pa­ny that has estab­lished itself in the auto­mo­tive and e‑mobility indus­try. We are about 100 pio­neers who share the goal of advanc­ing elec­tro­mo­bil­i­ty safe­ly and suc­cess­ful­ly by means of mea­sure­ment and test sys­tems. For this pur­pose, we have two prod­uct fam­i­lies with which our cus­tomers work. The first prod­uct is a bat­tery cell sim­u­la­tor to safe­ly, repro­ducibly and auto­mat­i­cal­ly test the bat­tery con­troller in the elec­tric vehi­cle and improve its algo­rithms to achieve bat­tery longevi­ty, safe­ty and long range. Our sec­ond prod­uct fam­i­ly is used by engi­neers and ser­vice tech­ni­cians to ensure safe, reli­able and suc­cess­ful charg­ing oper­a­tions between charg­ing sta­tions and elec­tric vehi­cles. For this, we’re known around the world in our indus­try — from Cal­i­for­nia to Europe to Japan, we’re the mar­ket leader.”

“How focused is a com­pa­ny on inno­va­tion? How con­sis­tent­ly do its struc­tures fol­low this goal? In the com­pe­ti­tion, we exam­ine this,” explains Prof. Dr. Niko­laus Franke, the sci­en­tif­ic direc­tor. “The most inno­v­a­tive medi­um-sized com­pa­nies receive the seal. It shows that they are excel­lent­ly equipped to meet future chal­lenges.” There will be a sec­ond cause for cel­e­bra­tion on June 24, when the top inno­va­tors of the 2022 cohort will gath­er in Frank­furt am Main for the award cer­e­mo­ny at the Ger­man SME Sum­mit to receive con­grat­u­la­tions from Ran­ga Yogesh­war. The sci­ence jour­nal­ist has been men­tor­ing the inno­va­tion com­pe­ti­tion for eleven years.
