Innovative concept for green energy distribution

The new mod­u­lar kit sys­tem for low-volt­age switchgear from 630 to 1250 amperes was recent­ly pre­sent­ed by Sedotec. In it, the com­pa­ny has realised numer­ous trend-set­ting inno­va­tions. For exam­ple, the man­u­fac­tur­er man­ages with­out weld­ing and still achieves pro­tec­tion class IP54 thanks to inno­v­a­tive cor­ner con­nec­tors. In addi­tion to mod­u­lar design and free­dom in the choice of switchgear, Vamo­con 1250 con­vinces with its con­sis­tent­ly sus­tain­able and resource-sav­ing design. Users are said to be able to save up to 3500 kg of CO2. Elec­tri­cal plan­ners and switchgear man­u­fac­tur­ers can find out about the new prod­uct live online. The com­pa­ny has set up its own film stu­dio for this purpose.

Vamo­con 1250 is the lat­est devel­op­ment from Laden­burg­er and is a mod­u­lar kit sys­tem for low-volt­age switchgear from 630 to 1250 A. It is designed for the instal­la­tion of switchgear com­po­nents. It is designed for the instal­la­tion of switchgear from ABB, Schnei­der Elec­tric, Siemens, Efen, Jean Müller and Wöh­n­er with type cer­tifi­cates by testing.

Save up to 3.5 tonnes of CO2 with Vamocon 1250

What is impres­sive, how­ev­er, is how con­sis­tent­ly the man­u­fac­tur­er has tak­en envi­ron­men­tal and sus­tain­abil­i­ty con­cerns into account. For exam­ple, the new sys­tem requires up to 30 per­cent less cop­per, gen­er­ates up to 20 per­cent less pow­er loss and has less plas­tic installed. The CO2 sav­ings are said to amount to up to 3.5 tonnes over the life­time of the sys­tem. The fact that Vamo­con 1250 can also be used for longer and saves up to 3,000 euros per metre of switchgear is some­thing the man­u­fac­tur­er is hap­py to cal­cu­late and thus also wants to con­vince controllers.

Exten­sive tests for design ver­i­fi­ca­tion accord­ing to DIN EN 61439–1/-2 ensure reli­able sys­tem oper­a­tion. In addi­tion, the focus is on per­son­al and sys­tem safe­ty. This is achieved above all by a high­er form of inter­nal par­ti­tion­ing. In addi­tion, all live parts inside the cubi­cle are cov­ered to pro­tect fin­gers. The man­u­fac­tur­er was thus able to dis­pense with field-high plas­tic cov­ers at the front.

Thanks to inno­v­a­tive cor­ner con­nec­tors, the enclo­sure does not need to be weld­ed, but still meets a pro­tec­tion rat­ing of up to IP54. The inven­tion of the new cor­ner con­nec­tor with seal­ing func­tion was wor­thy of reg­is­tra­tion as a util­i­ty mod­el by the Ger­man Patent and Trade­mark Office. A vari­ety of dif­fer­ent cable flanges and cable grom­mets ensure safe cable entries into the sys­tem on site that are sealed up to pro­tec­tion class IP54.

Inform, configure and order online

With the aid of the intu­itive Vamo­cad soft­ware, elec­tri­cal plan­ners and switchgear man­u­fac­tur­ers can con­fig­ure the Vamo­con 1250 sys­tem online, down­load all doc­u­ments with type cer­tifi­cates and import the order from the con­fig­u­ra­tor direct­ly into the SEDOTEC pro­duc­tion sys­tem. The pan­els come par­tial­ly equipped with cop­per and save time and costs dur­ing final instal­la­tion. The fact that less pack­ag­ing is also required under­lines the con­sis­tent­ly green approach.

Own film studio makes innovations vividly visible

Since the begin­ning of the year, elec­tri­cal plan­ners, switchgear man­u­fac­tur­ers and oper­a­tors have been able to find out about the ideas and inno­va­tions online. For this pur­pose, the com­pa­ny has set up its own film stu­dio in Laden­burg and reg­u­lar­ly organ­is­es webi­na­rs and prod­uct pre­sen­ta­tions for the tar­get group.
