New building: production facility for homeopathic dosage forms and anesthetics

The com­pa­ny Dr. Reck­eweg & Co. GmbH main­tains a pro­duc­tion site in Ben­sheim for home­o­path­ic med­i­c­i­nal prod­ucts in sol­id, semi­sol­id and liq­uid dosage forms. The world’s lead­ing tech­ni­cal con­sult­ing and plan­ning com­pa­ny io-con­sul­tants GmbH & Co. KG act­ed as gen­er­al plan­ner for the new con­struc­tion of pro­duc­tion and logis­tics areas with clean rooms on a build­ing area of approx. 11,000 m². Dr. Reck­eweg invest­ed 33 mil­lion euros in the site.

The new pro­duc­tion capac­i­ties in the clean room are required for the relo­ca­tion of parts of the exist­ing pro­duc­tion as well as new prod­ucts in the field of med­ical cannabis. io devel­oped a BtM secu­ri­ty con­cept for the pro­duc­tion of cannabis prod­ucts clas­si­fied as nar­cotics (BtM). In addi­tion, stron­grooms, elab­o­rate intru­sion alarm sys­tems and cam­era sur­veil­lance in the clean rooms were imple­ment­ed. In the new high-bay ware­house with 4,000 pal­let spaces, the logis­tics func­tions of the exist­ing pro­duc­tion are inte­grat­ed and pre­vi­ous­ly out­sourced stor­age capac­i­ties are sourced in.

As gen­er­al plan­ner with many years of expe­ri­ence in pro­duc­tion and logis­tics, io real­ized the project from con­cept design to com­mis­sion­ing, includ­ing qual­i­fi­ca­tion of the GMP trades.

With the accep­tance by the region­al coun­cil respon­si­ble for the approval of new phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal pro­duc­tion facil­i­ties, the sup­port of the real­iza­tion and qual­i­fi­ca­tion of the GMP plants was suc­cess­ful­ly com­plet­ed. The pro­duc­tion facil­i­ties were moved from the exist­ing plant. Pro­duc­tion at the new site is already underway.
