Presentation of the CoinPower F version at Compamed 2021

The F ver­sion of the recharge­able lithi­um-ion Coin­Pow­er series are lithi­um iron phos­phate based cells that offer the high­est inher­ent safe­ty. The CP7840 F1 type has a diam­e­ter of 7.8 mil­lime­ters and a height of only 4 mil­lime­ters. Oth­er types are already under devel­op­ment. The F ver­sion was devel­oped pri­mar­i­ly for tech­no­log­i­cal appli­ca­tions that are worn direct­ly on the body or on the skin and are or must always be in oper­a­tion. Thus, extra­or­di­nary secu­ri­ty can be pro­vid­ed even in human states of exter­nal rest and thus when less atten­tion is paid, such as when sleep­ing. The use of these Coin cells is pos­si­ble, for exam­ple, in so-called sleep­buds as well as in oth­er appli­ca­tions for mon­i­tor­ing and con­trol­ling health.

In addi­tion, there is also the famil­iar A ver­sion, which with the cur­rent A4 gen­er­a­tion already has a 30 per­cent high­er ener­gy den­si­ty than its pre­de­ces­sor. The C ver­sion of the Coin­Pow­er fam­i­ly is based on LCO tech­nol­o­gy and has increased fast-charg­ing capability.”

In addi­tion, the com­pa­ny offers many oth­er bat­tery solu­tions for the med­ical and health­care mar­kets, rang­ing from pri­ma­ry alka­line Indus­tri­al Pro bat­ter­ies, pri­ma­ry sil­ver oxide cells and pri­ma­ry lithi­um round and but­ton cells to recharge­able nick­el met­al hydride cells. 

The Group also offers cus­tomized solu­tions in the form of lithi­um-ion bat­ter­ies. Indi­vid­ual assem­bly can thus also be used to dri­ve the devel­op­ment of new inno­v­a­tive hear­ing aid solu­tions. Var­ta Indi­vid­u­als sup­plies spe­cif­ic and indi­vid­ual ener­gy solu­tions that are cur­rent­ly used in implants and can be pro­duced in indus­tri­al small series for oth­er med­ical devices exact­ly accord­ing to the cus­tomer’s spec­i­fi­ca­tions. The com­pa­ny also pro­duces hear­ing aid bat­ter­ies with proven zinc-air technology.

With the wide-rang­ing prod­uct port­fo­lio, a vari­ety of future-proof and smart appli­ca­tions in the field of med­i­cine and health can be made pos­si­ble, rang­ing from child­hood to old age: for exam­ple, smart baby mon­i­tor­ing sys­tems, so-called smart pills, smart patch­es, sen­sors and mea­sur­ing devices, implants and hear­ing aids, or intel­li­gent secu­ri­ty sys­tems for health. 

The ener­gy solu­tions are devel­oped in Ger­many and pro­duced to high stan­dards. They have an excep­tion­al run­time, exhib­it low self-dis­charge and are robust.

Com­pamed 2021, the lead­ing inter­na­tion­al trade fair for the med­ical man­u­fac­tur­ing sup­ply mar­ket, will be held in an atten­dance for­mat from Novem­ber 15 — 18 in par­al­lel to the world’s lead­ing med­ical trade fair, Med­ica 2021, in Düs­sel­dorf Exhi­bi­tion Halls 13 and 14.
